Am on leave this week, and I've been trying to be a good boy and make good use of my time by doing things I wouldnt normally do when I'm busy with (stupidunneccessary) army stuff.
Like going for driving lessons - which i REALLY need practice in.
Like mixing mp3s - for the upcoming hiphop item i'm trying to choreo for aug's concert.
Like coming up with a freakin concept for the item - which hasnt already been milked for all its worth by other dance groups (if you have any ideas of what you'd like to see in a great hiphop item, dear reader, I'll be glad to hear from you!)
Ironically, as a result of my attempts to be busy, my room has returned to its old messy (read:biohazardous) state, 2 weeks after its major spring cleaning. I'm destined to live in chaos.
Been chatting with a few of the Penn international students as well, and it's been pretty cool to develop a conversation just hearing all about someone else's country, from India, to Canada, to Korea.. such a refreshing change from Singapore's boring, predictable questions, some of which I can name off the top of my head:
1. So which school were you from? (sajc)
2. What are you doing now? (army)
3. Which uni are you going to? (Oh i'm not studying in Singapore, I'll be heading to the US, to a uni called UPenn. - This almost always is followed by an "oh" because the other party has nothing to talk about it.)
4. When do you ORD? (in 9 weeks - followed by a "oh that's quite soon!")
And of course, the classic:
5. Oh do you know xxxx? He/she's in blahblah..
I mean, why the heck do people find it interesting talking about a third party in a conversation meant for 2 people? It doesnt make sense. So if anyone's thinking of msn-ing me with the above questions, there are the answers right there for you, now let's move on to something more interesting.
