I am so never going back to chinablack again. I should've heeded the warning signs when I was queueing up: the sight of botak boys everywhere made me feel as if I was in Pulau Tekong. I had this irresistable urge to yell, "Knock it down!!" (which I did, masked by the blaring bad music, thankfully)
The music was awful, with the majority of songs coming straight out of a bad mambo night. (I'll bet even Class 95 has stopped playing "waiting for tonight" by JLo). Drinks were horribly diluted, bartenders were rude, and everything was just so.. wrong. Left disgruntled at 1.50am.
The only saving grace came in the form of fantastic company from my sajc dance juniors and oldoldold sji buddies mike, ck, jaime and newfound friend ray, with girlfriends in tow. It serves to prove what a bad friend-keeper I am.. My lack of effort in keeping in contact has cost me so many great buddy outings with many old friends. -sigh- Resolve to be more proactive in maintaining my friendships!
