Today was a day of lovely wonder-rific get togethers with different groups of people..
Morning was spent rushing out of the house to go meet longtime-fantastic-to-talk-with-too-good-to-be-true friend Felicia... cause yours truly woke up late. I woke up late because i slept late. I slept late because i went online late. I went online late because i came home late. I came home late because.. well you get the idea. Anyway, i digress. Met Felicia to go to Novena, (which i strongly encourage all Catholics and non-Catholics to go for!) followed by a cosy soupy lunch and a trip to buy the book A Short History of Nearly Everything. As how it always is with Fel, the conversations were engaging and the company was fantastic. :) So thank you once again! Wish we were back in sec 3.. haha
The afternoon was spent with council buddies Nolan and Ervin on a trip to the not-so-sunny island of Sentosa! Yes, it was raining. Dammit. Was pretty cool tho, the three of us executed a covert operation so effectively that we managed to breach Sentosa for a mere $1 each! (It usually costs $3 per person if you take a bus) It was exciting, it was dangerous, and it was damn well successful. Yes, we, the commando, the diver and the policeman, have discovered a glitch in Sentosa's security. Or as Nolan puts it, a "glitch in the Matrix.." (ta-daaaah) Sentosa should hire us to test their security system. They should pay us 10% of their revenue so we can buy our way out of NS. -sigh- And yes, after the adreneline rush, we had a great time jumping, swimming and remincing about old council days under the menacing cloudy sky. (Yes, i agree the sky part doesnt quite fit the picture, but it was pretty dark)
The evening was spent at longtime-fishing-dance-partner-can-confide-and-talk-rubbish-to Hui's house for another of her irresistable yummy get-togethers! With Cynthia, Jessica, Nolan, Koustav, Jason, Alicia & bf, Clarisse, and her doe-eyed beagle Bridget!! (Which i adore.. i'd marry her if she was a human. Hui has given her consent already) And yes, it was a feast, and only good can come out of it... pasta, chicken, ham, pork knuckles, potato salad.. and Hui's famous delectible blueberry pie to top it all off with..
-sighs in contentment-
Its friends like these that make a guy like me feel really lucky, and really happy to be alive. -smiles- To everyone, for all our friendships.. forever!
