I've got a brand new hairstyle! Went to a hairdresser at harbourfront yesterday, on the recommendation of glen, and cut my hair really really short, so much so that i can spike it now. Hooray. Its the first time ive changed my hairstyle since sec 2. That's about four years.. scary huh?
Still haven't mastered the art of spiking my hair yet. Dont understand how you use that infernal contraption known as HAIR WAX. Sheesh. Short hair's supposed to be more managable isnt it? Stupid hair wax. Feel like emtying the whole bottle on my head and hope my hair freezes in that style so i dont have to spend so much time figuring out how to use it.
Speaking of short hair, lovely wah-lau-eh-fish-lift-sweetie-mama hui had her haircut along with me too. Her picure's on the left. Stylish eh? Sure looks much better than her jc1 moonfaced look. haha!
I refuse to place any picture whatsoever of me on my blog. Come see me for yourself. Heh.
And i must say, for a first time trip to a hairdresser, it certainly impressed me. Flurry of techno 91.3 music from its speakers,funky blonde short haired hairdressers first wash your hair in a most flattering way. Placing a funny liquid on your hair and massaging it in, ensuring that it seeps into every single pore of hair, there's even a pattern of the speed of massaging it in: 3 short spurts, and 1 long spurt, repeat at the front, left, right and back. At that time, it seemed like she was doing it in time to the music, causing me to burst out in a chortle, much to her annoyance. A hot rinse off later and we're ready to cut. The cut was nothing special, was too busy listening to hui telling me how jason would scream, though esther (the hairdresser) did provide some stories on which magazines she was in.. (no you sicko, not THOSE kinda magazines) A weird hair-iron thing followed the cut when your hair is clamped by a weird contraption consisting of 2 hot blades. (hairdressing veterans please forgive my ignorance)
The whole experience lasted about 3 times longer than a trip to the neighborhood barber, and also cost about 3 times more. Sheesh.
For $28 it had better be worth it. 3 Cheers for Spiky Hair!
(i just realised that whenever i post a new photo profile, it looks as if that person's saying "where's the beach dude?" Right now, that person is short-haired hui.. bet you didnt think of that huh?)
