No not the Singapore Heartbeat but the hui heartbeat. Lim hui, to be exact. Hui, dance society vice president, whom i got to meet dancing Breathe opposite her last year, frantically trying to follow steps which she whispered while Zaki counted. Ah.. the times of old indeed.
Our friendship grew stronger through, in her words, "jazzy swinging and tribal beats" as well as endless fish lifts. She's become a confidante, bitching partner, corny-joke sharer, merrilyn-voice whinee, etc etc, and one of the best friends a guy could have. A great person to voice views of the opposite sex, and there have been many memorable conversations about her love life with nameless-good-friend-whom-everyone-knows-who-he-is, to my LACK of love life.
One who's not afraid to be different, who can be tomboyish and rowdy in one moment and ladylike in the next, one who can tolerate my endless biting (dont ask) as well as engage in crazy stints trying to kiss other people (dont ask again)
Hui, with her classy humour, her round face, lined smile, quirky habits, certainly passed with flying colours the "great friend" test. Here's to our fish lifts!
Hui and I just before our national day performance.
Yes i know i look really bad here, just cover the right side of the photo k?
