My modem's still not up yet. Im dying from havent-downloaded-nice-hiphop-songs-for-a-really-long-time-avitis.
I HATE COMPUTERS. Yes. They're stupid. Or at least modems. There's probably nothing wrong with mine. I probably forgot to click some thingamajig or connect some marakathog so the whole bloody thing cant work.
And yup, dad's way too busy to get a repairman down to take a look at it. -sigh-
I dunno why, but i feel like shit.
I think i should start talking in a more profound, arts-fac-like manner from now on. It seems its the only way to go when you're writing online journals. But ah what the heck. It makes reading boring. Everyone should be like me and actually have entertaining stuff to read on their blogs. La de dah. Im doing it myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy waaaaaaayyyyyy.
Started getting the pages of friends' blogs. Very exciting really. I shall soon actually have a couple of links to other sites and maybe even get more people to come visit me! Oh yes that'll be nice.
Ive decided that living life to the fullest is bloody tiring. Yes, in case you didnt know, My personal philosophy/motto is Carpe Diem, or sieze the day. Which is a pretty good motto if you're a slacker who doesnt want to achieve anything in life and laze around making fun of extra idiots like me. Heh. =But= Lionel's juggling way too many balls at the moment. It isnt only balls, but a microwave, a handphone, a cat, several live frogs and a whole brass band. What am i talking about? I have no idea. Which is precisely the point. I'm starting to hate my lifestyle. Let's take a reflection into Lionel's life in SAJC.
Academics
I take four A level subs, 1 S paper (econs), GP and CHINESE (bloody chinese). The only reason why im taking chinese is because i was too proud to admit C6 isnt that bad a grade after all. Maybe it is, but can i pull it up to a 4? I certainly hope so or i'd be wasting 30 hours of my life this term. Im taking four subjects. Totally unecessarily, but wonderful for the ego when people gasp in awe at the mere mention of it.
CCAs
Executive committee member, Public Relations Officer of the 25th Student Council SAJC. Yes sounds grand doesn't it. Stay back almost daily to do some form of council work or activity. Somehow i always get roped in to do some extra shit like think of council intro or sell ugly T shirts or come up with council dances or write a billion thank you cards which will probably get thrown away. Not that i mind, council's the one thing i feel im actually contributing something to, and helping others and all that. (with all the time it takes, it had better feel good) Still, cant seem to shake off the feeling that some people arent doing as much as they should.
Dance Society member. Dance is getting pretty stressanathan son of bainkimama because of the upcome SYF and dance concert. Still, its a passion and i love it. Not very close to fellow dancers save for a select few though, esp wonderful little Hui i get to "fish" a few times a day. (no it has no sexual connotation. Its a dance move)
My point is, what's the point of achieving the world when at the end of the day, you've got no one to share your joy with? I've Carpe Diem-ed for 1.5 years, but somehow seizing the day didnt bring me happiness like how its supposed to.
